No one likes to think about a time when they will no longer be around, but unfortunately it is one certainty in life. Planning for a loved one's funeral can be a difficult thing to deal with at such an emotional time. However, if there are some plans in place already, it can make the process simpler and easier by taking away some of the emotional strain and decision making.
Many people also wish to make some provisions in advance to help meet the cost of their funeral when the time comes. It may surprise you to know that the average cost of a cremation funeral (including disbursements) in the UK is now £2,720 - that's a 57.5% increase in the past seven years.* And what's more, these costs do not include any special touches that your family may wish to add. For many people this is a large amount of money to find, that's why planning your funeral can really make sense.
