Since we first introduced affordable life cover for the Over 50s in 1977, we’ve developed an unrivalled understanding of our customers’ needs and concerns as they grow older.
That’s why, wherever possible, we’ve always sought to provide help and advice that goes beyond the products we provide. This had led us to join forces with the Citizens Advice service to produce a brand new guide called 'Help yourself... to prepare for later life’.
We both realised there was a gap in the provision of useful and accurate information around the subject of retirement – and we are proud to support such a worthwhile initiative with this essential guide.
Very simply, it presents a clear view of the issues you might face when you reach state pension age or at any time during and the kind of help you may be entitled to.
To help you overcome the financial challenges ahead it includes advice on claiming a pension, working past the age of 65, and help for those on a low income.
It also provides help if you’re sick or disabled, help with fuel bills and help when someone dies. Plus it brings together all the useful contact details you are likely to need in one place.
